After rushing like crazy all last week to make sure everything was in order for me to leave on Friday for our vacation, I still felt like I was forgetting things that I should have gotten ready. I left a big long list of how to do things for my sister who was taking my place at work while I was on vacation. I thought I had everything covered very detailed but I guess I didn't because she called me several times on Friday and again on Monday.
I was hoping to be able to leave no later than 2pm on Friday due to it being a 5 hour drive but yea that didn't happen. We didn't leave until after 4pm. We stopped for dinner at Cracker Barrell in Temple which was so good so that added another hour on to our time but it was worth it. We get to the hotel and they inform me that the two room suite that I had reserved was damaged the night before from the people who stayed there. So they gave me two rooms with a door in between. So I was all good with that. The kids slept in one room and we slept in the other.
We spent a couple of hours at Sea World on Saturday and then the majority of the day on Sunday. We had so much fun. All the shows were great and the rides, the kids really enjoyed. I only went on the one ride with Dakoda as I was feeling sick to my stomach and didn't want to chance anything on the other rides the older kids went on. I didn't want to ruin anything with me getting sick and us having to leave because of it. But Chris went on the rides with the kids and they loved that. Besides someone had to sit out with Dakoda on the rides he couldn't ride. The shows were the perfect amount of time... not too long and not too short. I tried to get pics on some of the shows and once I get the cameras developed then I will get some posted. I can't wait to decide what we are going to do for vacation next year.. lol
Car problems
Yep, you see that right... I am having issues with my minivan. It is kicking up a code saying we need to change the PCM which is the main brain on the car. This is not a cheap piece to replace especially if you are paying a mechanic to do the job. I don't know what I am going to do if I have to replace my car. I don't want a car payment each month. I am wanting to delete bills not add to them. The car problems actually started on the way to San Antonio on Friday. They got worse on Saturday and that is why we had a short day at Sea World that day. We had left to get something to eat and get Chris some different shoes and I honestly thought that my car wasn't goint to stay started. That is when we found out what was wrong as we went to Orielly's and they did a reading for us. They were such nice people. So we head back to the hotel and while Chris tried to figure out the car issue I took the kids swimming. Well come to find out there wasn't much we could do at that point so we decided if needed we would rent a car and have someone come get the van on Monday. Lucky for us we were able to finish the weekend out and make it home safe and sound. Now I am driving a truck which is ok but I would rather have my minivan back.
Father's Day
I hope all the father's out there had a great Father's Day. Chris said he had a great one spending it with me and the kids at Sea World. He didn't want anything to celebrate the day but the kids made him a card today... yes we know it was late but we didn't get the chance to do it last week before we left. I hope he loves them. I even sat down and made a card myself. lol
Venting time... so I got on facebook and had a message from the ex saying the following...
Hey there. Its nice u remembered to have kids drop me a line on fathers day like i reminded colton to to text or call u on mothers day thanks for that can't Say i will go outta my way to care bout your feelings like that any more. Just sayin! and I responded with... You know I did say something about Father's day to them on Father's Day. I said something in the morning and after we finished at Sea World. They have a mind of their own. They did get you a card which will be going out in the mail so don't think that I didn't say anything to them about Father's Day. Oh but for the cards to go in the mail... and yes there are 4 of them... I will need an address. I get so sick of him jumping to conclusions about things. So I may not have said, he why don't you call your dad real quick and wish him a happy father's day but I did say something reminding them about the day several times and I even remember them saying they were going to call him later. Yea maybe I should have picked up my phone so that Dakoda could call and talk to him but damn, we had a real busy day and didn't get to the room until after 10pm that night. Besides he doesn't think about my feelings because if he did, he would make sure that Colton would come see me on all my weekends or make sure he let me know he wasn't coming. He tries to use the kids against me still and I will admit that sometimes it works but damn it, it ain't working this time.
Well it is late and I need to get some sleep. Until nex time....
