New Year, New Blog & More

Happy New Year!!! Yes I know it isn't the first but it is close enough right. Hehe. How do you like my new look? My Bestie revamped my blog for me and I am LOVING it!!! I think she did a fabulous job. With the new year here, I like to reflect on my year last year and as I do that I realize that I have so many good things that have happened.
    1st thing: I had a few ups and downs with my son. He was living with me, then he went to his Dad's and then within a couple of months being there he came back to me. I was heart broken at first but I understood why he did what he did but am glad it didn't take him very long to realize that he is meant to be with me right now. That boy, I love him so much... not that I don't love my others... it is just he is so much like me and he makes me smile when I am sad and is always making me life. I didn't realize how empty my life was while he was with his dad. But like I was trying to point out, the good thing is he is back with me!!!
    2nd thing:I lost 29 pounds. I had a weight loss goal of 30 pounds and I may not have hit 30 but I think 29 pounds is really damn close. :) I had my ups and downs with my diet, well I wouldn't call it a diet exactly as I wasn't really eating diet food but changing the way I eat things and eating healthier food. I started out in a size 14 in jeans and I am now down to a size 8. Man I am so very proud of myself and I feel so much better than I did when I started. Granted I am not done. I do want to try to get down atleast one more size this year.
    3rd thing: I would say that this thing was the best way to end 2012. I got engaged!!!! Yes finally, after 3 years being with a wonderful man, he finally asked me to marry him. I was really hoping for it but was beginning to think he would never do it. It was my birthday, we are at work. He had already gotten me flowers for my birthday. I had no clue what else he was going to get me because I hadn't really asked for anything or pointed anything out. Figured that maybe we would go clothes shopping later. Hehe. I am getting ready to go get lunch and he asked me when I wanted to get my birthday gift from him. I told him whenever he was ready to give it to me. He tells me that he was really nervous that I would not like what he got me but I have never not liked anything he has gotten me. He has really good taste in things. Well me and my niece go to get lunch and the boys stayed at the shop. While I was gone, he put my present in my desk but I didn't find this out until a couple of hours later. It was funny cause my niece went out to the garage and then she comes back in asking for a truck key: I keep spares in my desk drawer sometimes. Well I open and look to the right as that is where I keep the keys. She says, Tina are you that blonde. I look at her with a confused look on my face and she points down at my drawer.. I look back in and in the left hand corner is a beautiful silver box with a bow on it. I open it up and I find the most beautiful ring. Bethany, my niece, asked me if that is what she thought it was. With tears filling up my eyes, I said what else would it be for. She went and got Chris for me as I couldn't move. I was froze. Chris came in and I have tears running down my face.. good tears of course. I asked him, are you going to put this on me or you gonna make me do it. Of course he came over and put it on the left hand ring finger so that is when I knew for sure he was asking me to marry him. Of course I said yes and gave him the biggest hug I could and a kiss. Then the silly man says, ok babe, I have to get back to work. LOL

So as you can see, I had some really good things happen to me last year and I am hoping for more wonderful things to come in 2013. I am sure you will see lots of posts about my upcoming wedding throughout the year. Hehehe I am so excited and am doing all I can as soon as I can so it doesn't all sneak up on me in the end
     This is what I have so far. We have set the date (March 8,2014). I have my maid of honor, my sister Sherri. I have my flower girl, my niece Kailyn and my ring bearer, my son Dakoda. My daughter Sabrina is one of my bridesmaids. My colors are going to be a shade of green and a shade of blue. I am leaning a lot towards the color clover for the green. And I may or may not have found my dress. LOL
     About the dress, I went dress shopping today and in two dresses I got all teary eyed but with the second one the tears really started to flow. I want to look a little more and I really wanted my Mom to see the dress before I decided 100% sure on it and get her opinion. I think I am going to check out a couple of more stores and see if they have one that will get that 10 as this other one is at a 9 to a 9.5. There is only one more thing that would make it a perfect 10 and they unfortunately can't do that so I want to look and see if I can find it.

Last thing I shall say tonight is I have set two resolutions this year. First one is that I want to go down one more pant size atleast and the second one is I want to get more organized at work and at home. This one is going to be real hard for me but I am going to try really hard. 

Well my eyes are telling me it is time for me to hit the hay so until next time!!!
