School, wedding, and life in general

Howdy anyone who reads this. LOL I told myself when my bestie revamped my blog that I was going to get in here and post more often but life has been so crazy that I just haven't done that yet. I miss blogging and really want to try and keep this up, besides it is a good way to get my frustrations out instead of letting it all build up inside. And it is a good way to share all my good news going on in my life.

First let me start off with school. Sabrina and Clayton brought home their report cards. Clayton got all Bs and no Ns this six weeks. Bs are good and I am proud of him but I know he can do so much better than that. So I asked him to make it a goal to bring home some As this next six weeks. I was especially proud that he didn't get a N this six weeks because that boy is a talker and he loves being the class clown which gets him in trouble.  Sabrina did fantastic. She got one C, two Bs, and four As for the six weeks. For the semester she brought home four Bs and three As. So she did very good and I am proud of her. I did get after her for her C and told her it better get brought up this six weeks. She finished off her professional communications class and has started Health this six weeks. She is very happy to be done with the professional communications class because she hated getting up in front of the class to give reports. LOL As far as Colton and school, I am not sure how that is going and Dakoda, well I was just recently told that he has been cutting his clothes at school and not wanting to do his work. I talked to him about it this weekend and lets home that he starts doing what he needs to be doing.

Wedding... well the planning is coming along. I am getting so excited. I put the down payment down on my wedding dress. I went two different weekends looking. On the second weekend we were looking at several smaller shops, some we could find and some we couldn't. I tried on a few more dresses and none of them stacked up the one at David's Bridal that I really liked. So I finally told my sister that I just wanted to go back there and try that dress on again. This time my two sis-n-laws were with me and they were getting to see it too. Since I didn't have an appointment they told us they would try to squeeze us in. I explained to them that I just wanted to try that one dress back on and possibly purchase it. Guess that got me in a little faster. LOL So I got my same consultant as the last time and she knew exactly what dress I wanted and went and pulled it. I got dressed and showed my sis-n-laws and they both started tearing up. They both agreed that was my dress. So I rang the bell and went and put my down payment down on my dress. Now I have 60 days to pay it off. LOL Here it is... Hope you like it. I know I do!!!!  I am so ready to walk down the isle wearing my beautiful gown. I got it just like it is, ivory. They don't have to do much in alterations... well as long as I don't lose any more weight. LOL They will just need to hem up the bottom as I am too short and fix the halter as it is too long where it hooks.

Now on to life in general. For the most part life has been really good. But there has been some not so good moments. Yesterday my Uncle Keith passed away. It wasn't anything sudden and not expected but still it shocked me when I got the phone call. I do look at it like this, he is no longer suffering. He has been in the hospital since October and mainly in ICU. At one point they had moved him to his own room but just recently he went back to ICU. I knew he wasn't doing well but I didn't realize it was as bad as it was. I will know today for sure when the viewing and funeral will be.

Another not so great thing going on is that my Uncle Terry is not doing so well either. His liver has shut down and he is now on dialysis. He spent three days in the hospital getting his first three treatments. They sent him home after the third one. Well almost a week later he was admitted to the hospital again due to him going into congestive heart failure and his lungs filling with fluid. It is really hard to lose anyone in your family but when I lose him, it will hit me harder than anything. I remember when I was pregnant with Sabrina and I didn't know what I was having yet. We were over at their house visiting and he told me that if I named my baby Terry then the baby will have everything that he/she would ever want. LOL

On to some good life news. A good friend of mine had to give birth to her baby seven weeks early. She is doing wonderfully. They moved her out of the incubator and have put her in a regular crib now. She is up to 4 lbs 8 oz and just keeps on gaining the weight and growing. She is such a little cutie. Too bad they live so far away cause I sure would love to hold her. :)

Oh one last bit of good news and then I have to close this out. My baby brother is finally moving back to Texas!!!! I am so excited. I have been waiting for this day for so long. Him and his family will be here around February 24th or 25th. They will be staying with me in my house until they can get a place of their own. It is gonna be a little crowded but so worth it.

Ok, got to get back to work. Until next time... which will hopefully be in a few days. :)
